Thursday, February 28th: Putting Your Digital Self Out There

Putting Your Digital Self Out There
3rd Ward (195 Morgan Ave., Brooklyn)
7:30-9:30pm
Free with RSVP

Wind-Up is your chance to mix and mingle with the 3rd Ward community and learn how some of our members were able to advance themselves in their passion. This month, we’ve got two artists who were featured on prolific podcasts.

Join us on February 28 for presentations by Zachary Dinerstein and Iviva Olenick from 7:30 to 9:30 PM. Plus special guest Brendan Baker from the hit radio podcats Love + Radio! As always, we’ll have complimentary drinks and snacks on hand from our pals at Rucola.

Meet our panelists:

Zachary Dinerstein teaches Introduction to Podcasting at 3rd Ward and is an associates producer for The Takeaway on WNYC, the most-listened to public radio station in the country.

Iviva Olenick is a Brooklyn artist focused on the intersection of embroidery, language, social networking and digital communication. She teaches Intro to Embroidery at 3rd Ward and was recently spotlighted on BKBuzz for her art project that seeks to stitch together embroidery & Twitter. Iviva regularly exhibits at the Muriel Guepin Gallery in Cobble Hill, Brooklyn, as well as at additional venues throughout the country.

Brendan Baker is an independent radio producer, musician, and sound designer living in Brooklyn, NY. He is a recipient of the 2011 Third Coast Competition Gold Award for Best Documentary for his work on the podcast Love + Radio–a public radio podcast featuring in-depth, otherworldly-produced interviews with an eclectic range of subjects, from the seedy to the sublime. He endeavors to broaden the craft of public media through creative use of sound and story structure.
