In this fascinating presentation – a reprise from last Archtober’s “Bits + Mortar” Symposium – Russell Lowe will show work from a range of projects that use computer gaming technology to support, extend and challenge architectural design. Using a mixture of video footage and live demonstration of custom hardware and software, he will showcase the potential of computer gaming technology to expand the limits of architectural design, programmatic simulation and step-by-step construction sequencing – deploying gaming engines to visualize and teach component assembly, occupant ergonomics, navigation and physical safety, and various construction methodologies.
