Our Global Kitchen Tweetup
American Museum of Natural History, Manhattan
Free, RSVP required

Take a journey around the world and through time as you explore the exhibition and discover the many ways we grow, transport, cook, eat, and celebrate food. Meet the exhibition curators and take part in a range of activities that highlight one food with a fascinating history: chocolate.

In Our Global Kitchen, visit an Aztec marketplace, where cacao beans were used as currency and chocolate drinks were flavored with chili peppers, corn meal, or flowers. You’ll also have an opportunity to:

Try wine and chocolate pairings.
Sample a variety of chocolate.
Learn to make a mole sauce in the exhibition’s working kitchen.

Once you’ve had your fill, Whole Food’s local forager Elly Truesdell will also be on hand to share which foods can be found growing in New York City.
