Foreign Letters
The B&H Event Space (420 9th Ave., Manhattan)

FOREIGN LETTERS, a feature film produced with the in-kind assistance of B&H Photo, has been making broad audiences laugh and cry, across all demographics and around the world. The story, about the bond that forms between two immigrant girls, from Israel and Vietnam, captures the universal experience of friendship – with its pains and its joys. Find out why Amazon’s top reviewer gave Foreign Letters five stars.

The screening will be followed by a conversation with the writer, director and producer, Ela Thier, who will talk about the process of producing micro-budget films. Ela, a popular instructor and founder of The Independent Film School, will be available to discuss any aspect of the work: from writing and directing, to crowd-funding, production, post-production, and distribution. Anyone with interest in filmmaking will be welcomed to ask questions about any step of the process.
