Are you a lager lover? A stout savant? Have you been meaning to take yourself from casual connoisseur to brew-it-yourself hotshot? Come to the Etsy Labs for “OktoberfEtsy”, our own twist on the classic Bavarian beer festival that will help you keep the party going into the fall and winter. Erica Shea and Stephen Valand, founders of Brooklyn Brew Shop and authors of the forthcoming Brooklyn Brew Shop’s Beer Making Book: 52 Seasonal Recipes for Small Batches (out Nov. 1), will show you how to turn your tiny kitchen into a brewery without making it look, feel or smell like one. Erica and Stephen will present an overview of brewing basics, equipment & ingredients, and a demo of how to brew up their Bourbon Dubbel for autumn. Ein Bier, bitte!

First 50 people through the door get some cool Etsy swag, and audience members can enter to win a Brooklyn Brew Shop starter kit.

Our letterpress machine will be up & running for you to hand-press a pair of coasters to take home with you, and our photobooth will be open for some pre-Halloween tomfoolery. A few shopping stations will let you check out different features of to enhance your holiday shopping & giving.

Brooklyn Brewery will serve up their finest ales, and refreshments will include Bavarian-style snacks (think pretzels, pickles and more).
