Mobile Uploads Project
Esopus (64 W. 3rd St., Manhattan)

“Mobile Uploads” is a project organized by Amanda Schmitt, featuring artists from everywhere and anywhere. The one-night exhibition will feature JPEG photos submitted directly from cameraphone users, rotating as a digital projection. Camera phones allow one to capture an image at any time, and with the rise of 3G internet connections, these images can be instantly shared with large audiences. “Mobile Uploads” is an attempt to concentrate these images into a more intimate—yet still live and constantly “uploading”—environment.
