    DISH is a sumptuous multi-course feast of readings and stories, as told by New York’s hottest chefs, restauranteurs, mixologists, food authors, bloggers and critics, presented by Kimberly M. Wetherell of Spirited and David Gutowski of Largehearted Boy.

    DRINKS: Josh Morton, founder and master distiller, will share tastes and stories about his unique Brooklyn-distilled spirit: Barrow’s Intense Ginger Liqueur.

    APPETIZER: A very special representative from the upcoming Food Book Fair will visit the DISH stage and we’ll talk all about this thrilling weekend (April 25-27) complete with 60 food visionaries, 200+ books, 24 Foodieodicals, 9 discussions, a film screening, a homebrew brew pub, a pop-up farm, an umami tasting event, and a high-speed pitch competition.

    DINNER: Food, wine and spirits author Kara Newman will discuss her book The Secret Financial Life of Food: From Commodities Markets to Supermarkets (Arts and Traditions of the Table: Perspectives on Culinary History)

    DESSERT: Sisters Melissa and Emily Elsen are the power pie duo behind Four & Twenty Blackbirds, Brooklyn’s preeminent pie shop. Help celebrate their new cookbook and the opening of their 2nd shop in the main branch of the BROOKLYN PUBLIC LIBRARY!

    All proceeds from the event will benefit Housing Works’ programs to assist men, women, and children living with or affected by homelessness and HIV/AIDS.
