image We knew you’d want plans for Veteran’s Day/ Armistice Day, and so we’ve put together a WWI SASS for the occasion. We’ll down that history with a stiff drink in hand, just like your dear old granddad and the Red Baron would have wanted. The evening’s lecture topics: Friends in High Places: The Start of WWI If all you can remember about WWI is thanks to Scottish rock brand Franz Ferdinand, let Brian Traglio fill you in on the rest of the details. Uncle Sam Wants YOU (to Come to SASS) Part art, part mind-games, and part fact: WWI Propaganda Posters were something else. Join us on a worldwide exploration of propaganda from all sides of the war. Sex on the Western Front Patrick Lamson-Hall thrills us with the changing sexual attitudes coming out of WWI. After all, an era that introduced us to Ernest Hemingway and army-approved brothels certainly had sexy stuff going on behind closed doors.
