With Cesare Civetta, conductor and music director of the Beethoven Festival Orchestra in New York City and the author of "The Real Toscanini: Musicians Reveal the Maestro." This mixed media presentation features the life and music of Ludwig van Beethoven, touches upon the incredible challenges the composer faced as he gradually lost his hearing and how he overcame the psychological torment of the accompanying social awkwardness, and his evolution into a life of inner peace in his last years. Music from his early, middle, and late styles demonstrate his spiritual journey.
