Innovation is a word that seems to be everywhere and flung around by almost everyone. Yet how does it actually work? What tools and techniques help us become more innovative and creative? Even more importantly, how can we apply these insights to our work and personal lives?

This class provides an initial introduction to the GIANT Innovation Labs process that draws on the best of creativity research, human-centered design, lean startup, and strategic communications. In this class, we’ll examine the first two behaviors of “Gather Problems” and “Ignite Ideas” to provide a method for creative and collaborative problem-solving that is accessible to everyone. Participants will leave the class with a better understanding of what innovation requires and practical tools that they can apply the next day.
