COLOR/FORMS, the 24th annual Parsons/Cooper Hewitt Graduate Student Symposium on the history of design will be held Thursday, April 23 and Friday, April 24 in the Lecture Room at Cooper Hewitt. Jeffrey L. Meikle, Stiles Professor in American Studies and Professor of Art History at the University of Texas, will deliver the keynote address on the topic of color photograph postcards. The graduate paper session will explore color in design and material culture across a broad range of objects and periods, including textiles, plastics, ancient Greek sculpture, Japanese kimonos, and NASA photographs of Mars.
