IL REGNO MALATI AT DINNER takes place at the dinner table of a family where normal conversation leads to a total upset of power. Like a dynasty at the end of its life, mother against father, sister against brother and siblings against parents, the family empire descends into famine as the son eats and drinks literally everything in the house and while the bickering never stops.
The second act throws out all politeness and eviscerates the subconscious war the family is waging, presented in the form of a commedia with violence of a Jacobian/Cohen Brothers caliber. It’s about family, it’s about food, and what we do when we’re starved.
