This walking tour of Green-Wood Cemetery in Brooklyn, a sprawling Victorian burial ground dotted with marble monuments and ornate mausoleums, will take you back to some of these overlooked tragedies through their dead. Led by Atlas Obscura's cemetery aficionado Allison Meier, our tour will visit memorials to the Brooklyn Theater Fire of 1876, the 1840 burning of the Lexington steamship, the recent, but almost forgotten, 1960 Park Slope Plane Crash, and more ghastly incidents of disaster.
