Monday May 23 – Saturday May 28: Summer Road Trips, “Scream Night” Debuts Summer vacation is right around the corner, so movies depicting the good, the bad and ugly of road trips will be green-lighted: Johnny Depp’s psychedelic escapades in Fear and Loathing in Las Vegas 5/23; teen idol Britney Spears feature film debut Crossroads 5/24, written by Shonda Rhimes; dark comedy Little Miss Sunshine 5/25; Motorcycle Diaries 5/26 about Che Guavara’s coming of age; and a pairing of buddy road trip movies Thelma and Louise and Dumb & Dumber 5/27 - 28. Wednesday May 25 brings the debut of Scream Night, a celebration of campy cult classic horror movies that will take place on the last Wednesday of each month. The inaugural screening (9:45pm) is The Hills Have Eyes (2006); there will also be horror movie trivia at 8 pm in the dining room with the chance to win a month-long membership to Shudder, a new streaming service devoted to freaky films.
