" "Postcards From The Edge: Posters And Artwork Of The NYC Punk Scene" includes many original flyers and posters from the 1970's to the present. The vibrant, original artwork in the show represents each artist's personal experiences and reflections of the stalwart NYC punk scene, from its’ heyday to still-surviving present. Mediums such as painting, photography, posters and album cover art, artistic fliers, and mixed media work with punk motifs and/or memorabilia will be shown. The opening of this dynamic show will be on Saturday October 1st, from 7 to 10pm, and the opening night party will feature inspiring performances by GLOB-Gorgeous Ladies of Bloodwrestling, (Live lady warriors that wrestle in fake blood to punk rock.) and by two NYC bands: Skum City (Ear breaking, dirty, loud, fast, crazy punk.) and Pussywolf (All girl rock band playing dirty, nasty, riff-heavy music.) Admission will be free for participating artists. There will be a $10 suggested donation for guests. Refreshments will also be available for a small donation.
