Location: Jimmy's No. 43 (43 E. 7th St., Manhattan)

Price: Free admission

Jimmy’s No. 43 will celebrate the grand holiday of Carnival/Mardi Gras/Shrove Tuesday in our own grand style with “CARNE-VAL,” a party featuring a whole roast pig, drink specials and George Kilby Jr’s “Mardi Gras Revue.” The six piece band will play “Authentic Carnival Funk”, and boasts international blues and jazz stars plus veterans of the legendary run of 20+ years at Teddys Bar in Williamsburg. Jimmy’s No. 43 is doing it our way and harkening back to the origin of the holiday, which originally signified the cessation of eating meat during Lent. Chef Tito King’s famous “Lechon” Filipino-style whole roast hog will satisfy anyone’s carnivorous desires while they dance and drink their way into Liquid Lent. Regular bar/restaurant service is available during this theme night. Live music starts at 9 PM.
