Every Wednesday in June and July, writers throughout the city are invited to find inspiration in Green-Wood’s serene and historic grounds as part of City Voices, City Spirit facilitated by NY Writer’s Coalition, the largest community-based writing organization in the country. The free workshops aim to help writers generate new ideas and connect with their craft using Green-Wood, the cemetery and National Historic Landmark, as their muse. Writers of all genres, experience levels, and backgrounds are encouraged to register. Wednesdays throughout June and July, 5:00p.m. to 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 22, 2016; 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, June 29, 2016; 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 6, 2016; 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 13, 2016; 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 20 2016; 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. Wednesday, July 27, 2016; 5:00 p.m. – 6:45 p.m. This workshop takes place outside (weather-permitting). If you will be uncomfortable sitting on the ground, please make arrangements that will offer you maximum comfort in your creative pursuits (Example: a pillow, picnic blanket, camping chair, etc.)
