A History of Board Games

    Date: 04/06/2016

    Time: 7:00 pm - 8:00 pm

Location: Berg'n Beer Hall (899 Bergen St., Brooklyn)

    Price: $6 in advance

Join us for a one-hour whirlwind presentation that travels from the very beginning of board game history to the modern age of tabletop gaming. We’ll go from Chess to Monopoly to Catan and beyond all while explaining the key differences between games today and those in the past.

We’ll also throw out some random factoids about some of your favorites games. Like where to find a Scrabble street sign in Queens, how a popular children’s game relates to Hindu philosophy, and what a French film director has to do with Risk.

Our talk begins at 7pm in the private room at Berg’n, but feel free to come early to grab food or drinks from their awesome selection!

After the talk, feel free to hang out in the private room and try your hand at the selection of modern games!
