It celebrates the legendary Richard Avedon and his 60 year-long tenure as the preeminent, quintessential fashion photographer who shaped contemporary image-making and influenced international aesthetics through his iconic fashion work, portraiture series, reportage and sheer mastery of technique. The gallery will be filled with various forms of Avedon's work that explore his thoroughly researched processes and showcase the palpable connection and intimacy with his subjects whether in the role as photographer, filmmaker or casting director including a 1996 series of CKbe perfume commercials featuring personal moments with Kate Moss and James King, a selection never-before-seen Calvin Klein Jeans casting interviews with Shari Belaftone, Berry Berenson, Andie McDowell and Rachel Williams, Catherine Deneuve not only reciting her lines but rather revealing her personal truths through Avedon's process for the 1972 Chanel No 5 series and short films from 1973 that were commissioned for Japanese apparel brand, Jun Ropé featuring Lauren Hutton, Jean Shrimpton, Veruschka con Lenhdorff and Angelica Huston.
