The Old Stone House & Washington Park celebrates America’s path to independence during the week-long commemoration of the 240th anniversary of the Battle of Brooklyn – the largest battle of the Revolutionary War – beginning Wednesday, August 17 and continuing through Sunday, August 28. The highlights of Battle Week are the August 26th opening of Old Stone House's new interactive permanent exhibit Witness to War and the August 27th Glover Marblehead Regiment Re-enactment The Great Escape at Brooklyn Bridge Park/Pebble Cove. The events take place at various locations including Old Stone House, Brooklyn Bridge Park, Green-Wood Cemetery, Brooklyn Historical Society, Prospect Park, Fort Greene Park, Brooklyn Navy Yard, and other venues.
