Choreographer Francis Patrelle’s special Old New York-set version of Tchaikovsky’s timeless The Nutcracker graces the stage with scenes depicting a holiday party at Gracie Mansion, dancing at the Crystal Palace and skating in Central Park. New York City Ballet principals Abi Stafford and Adrian Danchig-Waring star as the Sugar Plum Fairy and her Cavalier, backed by a talented company that includes dancers ages 5 to 85, along with Matthew Dibble and Julie Voshell of Twyla Tharp’s Movin’ Out dancing the Arabian Divertissement, and real life couple Grant and Katie Dettling as the Snow King and Queen.
