Step inside The New York Botanical Garden’s annual Holiday Train Show, where large-scale model trains zip around you on their quarter-mile journey through fantastic landscape. Visionary artist Paul Busse and his team created a world filled with tiny tourist attractions like the Brooklyn Bridge, the Chrysler Building and the Empire State Building — 150 replicas in all — intricately crafted with nuts, bark, leaves and other plant parts. Much more than just a train show, this is a unique melding of art, nature, science and imagination that The New York Times calls “one of New York City’s best holiday gifts to itself.”
