Explore the gorgeous, historic New York Botanical Garden as you take in a full day’s worth of craft wine and beer tastings, live music, family activities and more at The Edible Academy Harvest Festival. The city’s best purveyors, brewers and vintners will offer samples of their artisanal offerings while food trucks will be on-hand selling savory and sweet fare to complement the tastings. Listen to beer and wine experts as they discuss the nuances of creating perfect food and drink pairings, and even join celebrity chefs (and The Chew co-hosts) Mario Batali and Carla Hall for a live cooking demonstration at the Conservatory Tent on Sunday (admission to this Mario Batali cooking demo requires the purchase of the “General Admission + Mario Batali Demonstration” ticket). Along with live Americana bands like the Minivans and Roosevelt Dime, there’ll be plenty of fun activities for families, including garden activities featuring bees and butterflies. The little ones will also get a kick out of getting an up-close look at the tractors, diggers and other machinery that the Garden uses to create its beautiful landscape.
