You get the whole megillah — acrobats, magic, puppets, dance, comedy and action — in The Megile of Itzik Manger, a whimsical musical adaptation of The Book of Esther at the Baruch Performing Arts Center. Inspired by the old Purim performances of Eastern Europe, The Megile of Itzik Manger shares some of the colorful theatrics and carnival spirit of Italian commedia dell’arte and British pantomime. A TimeOut and New York Post Critics’ Pick, this acclaimed production from the National Yiddish Theatre is back by popular demand for a limited time only. Performance is in Yiddish with some English, accompanied by English and Russian supertitles.
