A Story Lately Told: Coming of Age in Ireland, London and New York recalls Academy Award-winning actress Anjelica Huston’s (Smash, Prizzi’s Honor) childhood adventures on a bucolic Irish estate. It was there that she formed her complex relationship with her father, famed film director John Huston (The Maltese Falcon, The African Queen), as he played host to friends like John Steinbeck and Marlon Brando. Once her parents separated, she soaked up the ’60s music scene in London before moving to New York’s Chelsea Hotel, where she embarked on a modeling career — as well as an affair with the much older, and often troubled, photographer Bob Richardson. Huston is set to read from the book (which will be available for purchase for $25) and discuss it with Michael Mayer, the Tony Award-winning director of Spring Awakening.
