Pug Day 2013
Alice Austen House (2 Hylan Blvd., Staten Island)

The Pug Dog Club of Greater New York, Inc. will host the Annual Alice Austen Educational Pug Fun-Fundraiser Day for People & Their Pugs on Sunday, June 9th, 2013 from 9 a.m.-5 p.m., on the beautiful, historic, waterfront grounds of the Alice Austen House in Staten Island. This fun day has been reserved by the Pug Club for all Pugs, Pug owners and friends that love Pugs for the last 30 +/- years to honor Alice and her Pug, Punch.

Schedule of events:

9-11am- A.K.C. Canine Good Citizen Test (CGC) for all Toy Breeds- Lezlie Dono- AKC CGC Evaluator. Get your dog certified with a Canine Good Citizen Certificate from the American Kennel Club.

11:30-12 noon- Learn some obedience tips for training your pug. There are hands on demos. Instructed by Lezlie Dono.

12 noon- Famous Pug Club BBQ & Picnic Lunch
We will be having a BBQ with hamburgers and hot dogs, and plenty of cold drinks and snacks for sale.

1:15-2:30pm (2:45 time approx) Fun Pug Judging- Handle your pug in a fun pug show ring (pugs only) Judged by Barbara Glazer. Puppies: up to 18 months–Adults: 18 months and older. Black and Fawn–male and female.

2-4pm- Our famous costume contest- Lezlie Dono- Contest Judge
We will be judging for the funniest, cutest, prettiest, most original and best overall costume.

4-4:15pm Raffle Drawing- Our amazing raffle is loaded with prizes.

Bring chairs, picnic blankets and ice for your pugs.

We have pools and sprinklers to keep the pugs and human kids cool.

All dogs must be on a leash at all times.
