“The combination of beauty and weirdness that’s produced at Cooper is like no place else on earth,” said Michael Sorkin. Cooper Union — a historic, free, merit-based-admissions school for fine art, architecture, and engineering — invites you to its annual End of Year Show, this year titled “SHOW UP,” a showcase of hundreds of student projects. Explore the role of architecture in contemporary culture and society through conceptual and scaled drawings, detailed three dimensional models, and digital renderings. Witness radical and experimental exploration by the School of Art dealing with the practical problems and issues of today and those of the future. Interact with and learn from live demonstrations and projects in mechanical, electrical, civil, and chemical engineering. Additionally, students respond to the recent announcement that future students will be charged tuition. Wine will be served on opening night.
