What Dreams May Co. performs Shakespeare in a minimalist, accessible way with their dark and gritty modern reimagining of Hamlet. When Prince Hamlet returns home to Denmark following the death of his father, he finds that his uncle now occupies both the throne and his mother’s bed. Haunted by the vengeful ghost of his father and surrounded by spies, Hamlet struggles with his duty as a prince and son. He knows he should take action against his murderous uncle, but his doubts and disillusionment hold him back. Meanwhile, his uncle is quickly working up a plot to get rid of the young prince.
