Thursday, April 25th: ‘Maps to the Other Side’

Maps to the Other Side
Bluestockings (172 Allen St., Manhattan)
7pm
Free

Part mad manifesto, part revolutionary love letter, part freight train adventure story, Maps to the Other Side: The Adventures of a Bipolar Cartographer is a twist on the classic punk rock travel narrative that searches for authenticity and connection in the lives of strangers and in underground community. Sascha will discuss his work as co-founder of The Icarus Project, a community support network and media project redefining the language and culture of mental health and illness. Sascha Altman Dubrul has been a pioneer in urban farming and mental health advocacy. Among certain crowds he is known as the bass player of the classic 90s punk band Choking Victim.
