Making its eighth appearance in New York, PULSE New York 2013 returns to present 60 national and international galleries exhibiting works by emerging and established artists. You never know what treasures you’ll find around every corner at Metropolitan Pavilion. Browse wall after wall, and room after room, of amazing art from photography, painting and sculpture to performance, installation and video. This year eight of the 13 galleries in the section dedicated to solo artist projects are from countries outside of the United States. Tokyo Gallery+BTAP, the first contemporary art gallery in Tokyo, is showcasing the works of acclaimed Japanese artist Yoshio Murakami. Other highlights include the work of Ali Kazma, who was recently selected for the Turkish Pavilion at the Venice Bienale, and the addition of distinguished new galleries, including Galerie Michael Sturm and seasoned New York photography dealer Steven Kasher.
