From March 19th – 21st, join us in the annual celebration of Japanese culture and cuisine in Grand Central Terminal’s Vanderbilt Hall. In honor of Grand Central Terminal’s centennial, Japan Week 2013 will be driven by the Japanese “on-the-go” lifestyle theme. Look forward to being introduced to the nuances of Japanese travel culture, including ekiben, or special train station bento containing regional dishes, and tachinomiya, standing bars featuring a range of sake and shochu. Entertainment includes cultural performances scheduled throughout the three days. Additionally, lucky winners in a contest will receive the grand prize for a free round trip ticket to Japan.
