Thursday, March 14th: Tea Blending with SerendipiTea

Tea Blending with SerendipiTea
American Folk Art Museum (2 Lincoln Sq., Manhattan)
6pm
$10 in advance, includes museum admission

Spend an evening blending teas, fruits, florals, spices, and herbs like a pro with Linda Villano, cofounder and owner of New York–based SerendipiTea. In the process you’ll learn about tea varieties and how they differ from tisanes—and you’ll return home with your very own creations to share with friends and family.

Linda Villano founded SerendipiTea in 1995 with Tomislav Podreka. With a passion for all things tea, she oversees all aspects of the business, including client consulting, concept and design, staff training, sourcing, and product development (recipe creations). Having grown up in a family of restaurateurs and chefs, she considers her role as a purveyor of premium teas and tisanes a natural continuation of her family’s culinary tradition. Linda is also a published illustrator and writer. Her illustrations appear in Tomislav Podreka’s book SerendipiTea: A Guide to the Varieties, Origins and Rituals of Tea, and she writes articles about tea for trade publications.
