Through Friday, April 5th: ‘Topsy-Turvy: A Camera Obscura Installation’ from Sandra Gibson & Luis Recoder

Topsy-Turvy: A Camera Obscura Installation
Madison Square Park, Manhattan
10am-5pm daily
Free

Employing properties of light, shadow, and movement, Topsy-Turvy will transform how we see and experience New York City’s urban landscape. The installation’s life-sized, walk-in camera obscura will create an inverted and abstracted motion picture of the Flatiron District in real time. The ever-shifting conditions of natural light, climate, time of day, and the bustling activity on the streets will produce unique experiences for each visitor that will invite multiple viewings.
