It grows cold and dark and we, once more, we don masks and enter the night and again each other’s hearts, other-heart, come to me slow in the night, night-heart, meet me by the fire, fire-dream, dream of me in the quiet song of your sinking, sinking-soul, pull me down with you, over and over, until the closing rites bring us all, and even the sun, down into this new and lavish darkness, dark-wings-of-evening, meet us again October-deep at the end of this alley, alley-cat preen your fur and furious feathers into black arrows and point at this seldom spoken scripture, scripture-sister sing and sign these dreams again, the secrets of this soiree, of each other, whisper softly on the dark sand.

We are so pleased to be joined by a fantastic cast of poets for this year’s Masquerade, which will feature Ariana Reines, Dorothea Lasky, Angelo Nikolopoulos as Anne Sextin’, Jennifer Tamayo as Dead Natalie Wood, Will Brewer, Seth Oelbaum as Reinhardt Gobbles, Carina Finn as Cherry Cherie, Lisa Marie Basile as Luna Liprari, Meghann Plunkett as Echo Rose, Alyssa Morhardt-Goldstein as Elka, Rachel Herman-Gross as Simone, Rachel Boyadjis as Cosette Chapiteau, and Evan Burton as Buster Van Orson.

The night will include burlesque performances by Moxie Sazerac and Luna Liprari. Tarot readings will be provided by Robert Cunningham. We’ll have a little tableside magic from Who Is Cooper. And we’ll enjoy live music by Karen Marie Richardson of Punchdrunk’s Sleep No More from 8pm-11pm!
