The first dogs to arrive in costume will compete in Round 1. A winner and numerous runner ups will be awarded prizes at the end of that round. Winners claim their prize at the end of the round — or the prize is forfeited. Then we go on to next group of dogs for Round 2, & 3.

This year’s “Best in Show” wins a new Continuum Cycle commuter bike. The winner will be selected from the winners of the previous rounds and will be announced at the end of the day. Best in Show will be posted on website and the winner has 30 days to collect their Continuum Cycle or prize will be donated to charity. There are many other prizes awarded at the end of each round.

The iPod Winner will be drawn from the raffle at the end of the runway competition and will be posted to website. Winner has 30 days to collect their iPod or prize will be donated to charity.

Admission to the event is a suggested $5 Raffle ticket sold at the door. There is no fee to enter your dog in the competition. The first round begins shortly after 12 Noon. Admission to the final round should plan to arrive no later than 2 p.m.

The Tompkins Square Dog Run is located in NYC’s East Village. Enter the park on 9th street and Avenue A. Continue wallking along the 9th street path until you see the dog run right next to the flag pole. In case of rain or gloomy weather, the parade may be postponed to Sunday or the following weekend.
