Saturday, October 20th: Downtown Manhattan & Gowanus Scavenger Hunt

Scavenger Hunt
Begins at Cabinet (300 Nevins St., Brooklyn)
$5 per team of two, registration required

Sharpen those decoding skills and get out the map! apexart and Cabinet have designed a scavenger hunt for the city explorers among us that includes overlooked public art work, underappreciated landmarks, and other hidden gems that hunters will have to find in order to win a stellar prize package of treats, tickets, and subscriptions!

The hunt starts at the Cabinet offices in Gowanus and ends at apexart in Tribeca. Snap a picture of your team in front of each location and hurry to apexart! The first pair to arrive with the most sites photographed wins the grand prize—a stellar package of tickets, memberships, and subscriptions! In between hunters will have to decipher the witty clues inspired by local artists and authors, including Jonathan Ames, Jeff Dolven, Alanna Heiss, Nina Katchadourian, Mary Miss, Albert Mobilio, Sara Reisman, and Alexis Rockman, to find each of the eight hidden locations. Additional prizes will be awarded for second and third place winners.

THE PRIZES:
Find another person to pair up with, and if you are quick and clever, you will win extravagant prizes, including: tickets to performances at BAM, The Flea, HERE, Issue Project Room, La MaMa, New York Live Arts, and Roulette, a walking tour by MAS, a New Museum membership, apexart books, a year subscription to Cabinet magazine, and more!
