Tribeca Meet and Greet
SoLoMoLab@ LocalVox HQ (5 Hanover Sq., 9th Fl., Manhattan)

Please join us in an event celebrating our Lower Manhattan neighbors and our ever-growing always changing community. Please join us at the Tribeca Meet & Greet at LocalVox Media on Tuesday Oct 16 anytime between 6:30 and 9 PM. This will be further south than we usually venture but it is much closer than you think – click here for a map – SoLoMo Lab @ LocalVox HQ.

This is going to be a very special Meet & Greet. The LocalVox Media folks (formerly known as –their flagship business and lifestyle news blogsite) are completing their second year as one the ten hottest internet start-ups in NYC (according to Business Insider). They have had a major impact with their work with Lower Manhattan businesses and now have over 600 small to medium sized businesses in NYC in the NearSay Marketplace. Come and learn how they work with all those new-fangled social media – If you don’t know your Facebook from your Foursquare this is the Meet and Greet for you.

Don’t be afraid of being swamped by new and complicated information – no one’s going to bore you with speeches, but there will be a great opportunity to ask questions and get useful answers relating to marketing your business online.

If you have never attended a Tribeca Meet & Greet, now’s the time. We have been meeting in a different Tribeca restaurant or business about once a month. We’ve been able to exchange some ideas, do some networking and have a drink with the neighbors. Some people show up for the full evening, some just drop by to say hello. Frankly Wines at 66 West Broadway has kindly provided some beverages; MaxDelivery will bring some nibblybits and the LocalVox folks will have plenty of coffee to go around. This means that four local businesses (and more!) have joined in presenting this event. If anyone else would like to contribute, please contact me at the address below.

We expect to have a friendly group and a terrific time with a chance to learn some useful things about our neighborhood. Please feel free to bring business cards, menus, flyers and other information about you and your business. I am thrilled to say that these get-togethers are now in their eighth year. Tribeca Meet and Greet is organized by BMCC Tribeca Performing Arts Center.
