Two-time Tony-winning Broadway baby and TV star Christine Ebersole brings her new cabaret show to Kingsborough direct from its well-reviewed Café Carlyle debut, which The New York Times‘ Ben Brantley called “unmissable.” The versatile Ebersole, who currently stars in TBS’ sitcom Sullivan & Son, won her Outstanding Actress Tonys for her roles as Dorothy in 42nd Street and Edie Beale in the acclaimed musical Grey Gardens. Accompanied by pianist John Oddo, her latest club triumph combines political satire, heartfelt family stories and an eclectic song list into a thrilling evening of entertainment. Known for her impressive range — she excels at both comic alto and lyric soprano roles — she’ll tackle such great tunes as Noel Coward’s hilarious tongue-twister “What’s Going to Happen to the Tots?” and Great American Songbook favorites like “Strike Up the Band,” “Blow, Gabriel, Blow” and “I Loves You, Porgy.” Ebersole’s released four CDs, and will stay to sign her latest after the show.
