Tatzu Nishi: Discovering Columbus
Columbus Circle, Manhattan
Free, reservations required (reserve ASAP – will book quickly)
Walk up six flights of stairs and arrive in a living room above Columbus Circle. In the center of the room is the monumental statue of Christopher Columbus, no longer 70 feet above you but close enough to look him in the eyes.
Note: Their e-ticketing system is quite possibly the least user-friendly one we’ve ever had to deal with. You have been forewarned – give yourself a bit of time to go through it. You won’t be able to complete the entire process in Firefox, but we were told by a representative of the company that handles the ticketing that Safari & Internet Explorer work. We successfully booked our tickets using Safari.
