Washington Irving’s The Legend of Sleepy Hollow rises again, now transformed into a spooky new musical by Michael Sgouros and Brenda Bell. Set in 1790, this enduring piece of Americana tells the story of a romantic rivalry between skinny schoolteacher Ichabod Crane and town rowdy Brom Van Brunt over a wealthy farmer’s daughter. Alas, Crane soon comes face-to-missing face with the Headless Horseman, believed to be the ghost of a Revolutionary War soldier, and then mysteriously disappears. This tuneful take on the Halloween classic arrives just in time for the holiday.
