The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies
Public Assembly (70 N. 6th St., Brooklyn)

The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies (SASS!) is proud to present a series of lectures designed to both entertain and enlighten. On the first Tuesday of each month, we will meet to discuss a different historical topic that you probably knew at one point but don’t remember anymore, plus THEMED DRINK SPECIALS.
The best thing about running S.A.S.S. is when you have a stupid idea, like basing history lectures off your favorite Miley Cyrus/ Biggie Smalls remix, you can actually do it. Plus, it’s timely- this month’s S.A.S.S. is the night before this great country’s birthday. So come celebrate the third of July with a party (the history of political parties), some bullshit (ridiculous American laws), and of course, the US of A (meaning the American Revolution!).
