New York is experiencing a boom in the home brewing of beer, with a host of new suppliers and hundreds of new homebrewers joining the movement every year. Presented in conjunction with the exhibition Made in New York, the first-ever Brewnity: NYC Homebrewers United will celebrate the city’s rising homebrew talent. Come learn how to make yeast happy in your home from seasoned do-it-yourselfers! Guests will enjoy informative displays, how-to-homebrew films, educational presentations, and tastes of a variety of homebrewed beers. This is a unique opportunity to meet the growing number of local homebrewers and clubs, learn how easy it is to homebrew, and where to locally attain ingredients/equipment, and to sample homebrew from the five boroughs and beyond…all while enjoying the installations on view at the South Street Seaport Museum.
