Saturday, May 12th: Designated Area for Beginner Bicyclists Opens

As someone who learned how to ride a bike in Manhattan as an adult, I can definitely attest to how challenging & dangerous learning to ride in NYC can be. Today, Pier 54 opens as the only designated place in the city for beginner bicyclists. The space will be open during regular park hours for anyone who wants to learn how to ride a bike in a safe environment. There are also plans for free classes for adults & camps for kids this summer.
