Dekalb Market is a new community destination in Downtown Brooklyn. Dekalb Market is housed in a collection of salvaged shipping containers, that bring together Brooklyn’s creative entrepreneurs in a community setting that include an incubator farm, events and performance venue, and a collection of eateries and work-sell spaces.

SPRING WEEKENDER will be held April 7 – 8 to celebrate the inaugural market in 2012. The two-day extravaganza will be host a myriad of activities including:

* 40 retail & food outdoor vendors showcasing arts & crafts, antiques, new & vintage clothing, jewelry, furniture, prints and more

* Classes & workshops for adults and children centered around cooking, farming, gardening, and crafting

* Easter activities including a market wide Easter egg hunt at noon on both Saturday and Sunday

* A petting zoo with rabbits, sheep, llamas, goats, and donkeys from 11am-2pm

* Butterfly and fairy face painting

* Live music from Michael Arenella & His Dreamland Orchestra (3pm on Saturday) and DJ Nickodemus (5 pm Saturday) plus Naomi Shelton & The Gospel Queens (3pm Sunday) & DJ sets from Still Life and $mall ¢hange (5pm Sunday)

* Beer & wine garden featuring local brews
