Intro to DSLR: Choosing and Using a Digital Single Lens Reflex Camera With a Photo Walk
The B&H Event Space (420 9th Ave., Manhattan)
1-6pm
Free

The most exciting development in photographic hardware in the last quarter century is the affordable DSLR (digital single lens reflex). The possibilities and quality of an interchangeable lens camera come alive in this3 hour class where we will explore the features and benefits of today’s top DSLR cameras from a variety of manufacturers. A short explanation of work flow will be covered so you don’t lose your valuable images. You will come out of this class with a working knowledge of available DSLRs and discover which one best fits your needs.

As a special bonus after the class we will go on a photowalk to the newly opened Highline Park which has expanded to include an entrance just a few blocks from B&H’s Super Store. The photo walk is optional, but if you do decide to take it, please bring your DSLR, memory cards, and fresh batteries. As we walk the Highline, David and other B&H Mavens will be on hand to help with the lessons learned from the earlier days class. This is a great time to learn camera menu navigation and modes in the field under tutelage.
