Tuesday, April 3rd: The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies Presents: Doing Drugs with the Government

S.A.S.S. Presents: Doing Drugs with the Government
Public Assembly (70 N. 6th St., Brooklyn)
7-10pm
Free

The Society for the Advancement of Social Studies (SASS!) is proud to present a series of lectures designed to both entertain and enlighten. On the first Tuesday of each month, we will meet to discuss a different historical topic that you probably knew at one point but don’t remember anymore, plus THEMED DRINK SPECIALS.

Ahhh April. The sun is shining, daffodils are blooming…it’s that special time of year when young punks everywhere join together and celebrate recreational drug use. So put down your hacky sack and get on over to S.A.S.S. where we’ll teach you how the Man has tried to put a stop to all this tomfoolery through the years. We’ll talk about the history of marijuana in the states, the era of prohibition, and some unsavory experiments involving the CIA and LSD (hint: they really ARE out to get you).
