Zombie Walk: 4pm at McCarren Park (Bedford Ave. & N. 12th, Brooklyn)
The “Zombie Walk” is FREE and open to the public. All ages are welcome to attend and encouraged to participate in the festivities. The “Zombie Walk” pre-party will start at 12:00pm at McCarren Park, on the corner of Bedford Ave & North 12th . Emerging Artists Connect is encouraging participants to dress as zombies (or zombie hunters), before traveling together to The Knitting Factory straight from the “Zombie Walk” party. The actual “Zombie Walk” will begin at 4:00pm and go down Bedford Ave from McCarren Park on North 12th Street, before turning onto Metropolitan Ave, towards Havemeyer Street leading to The Knitting Factory. Upon arrival, a separate-admission fee will be charged and the 18 and over concert competition “Survival Of The Bands” will commence.
Emerging Artists Connect (E.A.C.) has received over 700 applications for “Survival Of The Bands” since December and on March 2nd the top 20 applicants had their fans vote for them on the E.A.C. website. Fans of these bands had the chance to vote online for which 6 contestants will go on to play a live show at The Knitting Factory, the 7th act to compete was chosen by the E.A.C. team.
