Most New Yorkers are familiar with the series of subway ads for “Free Abortion Alternatives” or street signs that state simply, “Unplanned pregnancy?” To a young woman riding the train home or doing a frantic web search, these centers are easily confused with legitimate women’s health clinics.

These centers, known as Crisis Pregnancy Centers, are not in fact licensed to provide actual medical services. In reality, a majority of them provide women false information and use scare tactics to try to stop women from obtaining an abortion.

Join the NOW-NYC Service Fund and our allies for a screening of the acclaimed HBO Documentary, 12th & Delaware. Directed by Academy Award-nominated filmmakers, this film is a searing exploration of what goes on inside Crisis Pregnancy Centers. The screening will be followed by discussion with leading local advocates.
