Through Sunday, March 11th: Armory Arts Week 2012

In its fourteen years, The Armory Show has become an international institution, and every March, artists, galleries, collectors, critics and curators from all over the world make New York City their destination. The concept of a week of arts-related events grew organically, and was formalized with the support of the city in 2009.

Armory Arts Week 2012 Public Programming includes:
Tuesday, March 6, 2012 – Uptown & Museum Mile
Wednesday, March 7, 2012 – The Armory Show Opening Preview Benefit at MoMA
Thursday, March 8, 2012 – Bronx Day & SoHo Night
Friday, March 9, 2012 – Long Island City Night
Saturday, March 10, 2012 – Chelsea Day & Brooklyn Night
Sunday, March 11, 2012 – Lower East Side / Downtown

In celebration of the city’s unparalleled artistic communities, Armory Arts Week highlights a neighborhood or borough’s arts scene each night with events. Past events have included special receptions, open studios, art tours, museum discounts, performances, panels, artist discussions and parties.
