People’s Potential Unlimited (PPU) is a very special record label in DC known for discovering and reissuing some of the weirdest and best ultra-rare boogie, funk, and other dance music from the 70s, 80s, 90s++. This party marks the release of the label’s second ‘Video Party’ DVDs, a bizarre & awesome montage of rare footage of some of the artists and shows/dance parties of the era. The videos are put together in inimitably schizo high-art style by Luke Wyatt, ‘video mulch’ artist, and for the party he will be projecting a first glimpse of the DVD and improvising live from the material with an analog VJ hardware setup.

Label head Andrew Morgan DJs from his ultracoveted collection, joined by Ital for an all night vinyl-only deck session. There will be live performances by Jonas Reinhardt and Xosar, who are each celebrating their record releases on 100% Silk, and L.I.E.S. As always there will be projections, lights, a little fog & drinks.. come dance!
